By default, RIMMF stores the records you make in either
My Documents\RIMMF\data
or in the
RIMMF\data subdirectory
on your flash drive1).
'Change data folder' allows you to switch to a different folder, temporarily; this can be useful when sharing records–allowing you to view other records without mixing them up with your own. Click here for more instructions.
The option persists only for the current session; the next time the program is closed and restarted, RIMMF reverts to the default record storage folder (described in the first paragraph).
We did not implement multi-user support in RIMMF because it is beyond the scope (and a not trivial undertaking) of what we are trying to accomplish.
However, the 'Change data folder' option might make it possible for you to create some RIMMF records on your computer, copy them to a network folder, and then direct your colleagues to this folder so that they could access your records.
Depending on the permissions of the network folder, they may be able to modify the records also. This part is up to you.
