The next time you use this vocabulary, your local term will be present in the list of choices.
If you want to use a term without adding it to a vocabulary:
To be Updated
You may optionally add a definition for the term at this time also.
To be Updated
Open the vocabulary editor
Start either from the main RIMMF window
or, use the context menu while editing a record
Select the vocabulary that you want to add a term to
Note: Skip this step if you opened the vocab editor using the context menu.
Click the arrow to activate the drop-down list and select your vocab:
Click on the 'Terms' tab at the top of the vocabulary editor form
Then click the 'Add Term(s)' button at the bottom of the form
Enter the new Term (in the 'Term' box)
Optionally, you may enter a definition at this time too.
When you are finished, press 'Add'.
The new term is added to the selected vocabulary; the new term will be available for selection whenever you edit the element linked to this vocabulary in RIMMF.
Note: to facilitate adding multiple terms at once, follow these steps on the 'Add vocabulary term' page:
Pressing <Tab> in this context jumps to the 'Add' button; pressing <Enter> executes the 'Add' action, which, after it adds the term to the vocabulary, clears the term from the edit box and returns the cursor to it, ready for the entry of another term.
Note: that if the vocabulary is defined as an 'open' vocabulary, you can add new terms simply by typing them into the appropriate element during editing. Follow this link for more details about Open vocabularies
