Open a blank Manifestation record, using the Template titled 'TMQ.Book.Pub.Core' (Create New Manifestation Data )

With your blank Manifestation record open Change the Columns that Display to include three additional, hidden columns:

  1. the Data Entry column
  2. the LC Core column
  3. the Source column

    • Choose the template titled 'TMQ.aSimple'
    • With your blank Work record open Change the Columns that Display to view three additional, hidden columns:
      1. the Data Entry column
      2. the LC Core column
      3. the Source column
  • Preferred Title for the Work: 'The top one hundred pasta sauces' is already filled out for you, copied from the Title Proper of the Manifestation; take my word for it (for the purpose of this demo) that the UK version did not have a different title and there is no earlier version with a different title, so this title is the Preferred Title; but:
    • Remove the initial article and capitalize the new first word
  • Variant Title for the Work: 'The top 100 pasta sauces' is already filled out for you, copied from the Variant Title of the Manifestation; but:
    • Remove the initial article and capitalize the new first word
  • Date of Work: '1987' is already filled out for you from the Date of Publication of the manifestation; there is no earlier, different, version of this work (I did the research), so this is the correct date for this element
  • Add a link to a record for the author as ‘Creator’:

    • Dig down to see the Manifestation and Illustrator links
  • Close the R-Tree
  • Close the records
  • DONE
