Move an element/caption/vocabulary: Detailed Steps

You may find that you need/want to move an element to another position in the template. This is a very simple process—simply:

  • Right-click on the indicator column to the left of the element that you want to move, and move the cursor slightly, up or down; this will display a curved arrow

  • Move your cursor so that the curved arrow is in the new position for the element

  • Release your cursor

In a template: if you move an element in a template, the element will always appear in its new position whenever that template is accessed.

In a record: if you move an element in a record, the element will only appear in its new position as long as it is open. Once you close the record and re-open it, the element will appear in the position designated by the template that you have chosen.
